Four people encountered a shark as they took to the waters off South Padre. Local time Thursday officers responded to a report of a man who had sustained a severe shark bite near the 4100 block of Gulf.
From about late Thursday morning to about 1230 pm at least one shark attacked up to three victims within South Padre Islands city limits Art.
Footage from a beachgoer who witnessed the incident showed a shark swimming near the shore in the vicinity of that attack.
